CHS 2010 Fall Plant Auction and Sale
It's time once again for the Connecticut Horticultural Society's fabulous fall plant auction and sale. Join the fun on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at the Tolland Agricultural Center in Vernon. Doors open for set-up at 5:30 p.m.; the sale starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Donations of plants from the trade and from the gardens of CHS members and friends are most welcome. Please ensure that plants to be donated are free of pests and disease, potted up properly and looking their best. Click here for potting guidelines. Plant donations are tax-deductible; forms are available from CHS by e-mailing connhort@aol.com. CHS 2010 Spring Auction: Let the Planting Begin!
CHS kicked off the 2010 planting season on April 30 with the annual Spring Auction and Plant Sale, in which more than $5,400 was raised to support students at the University of Connecticut's College of
Agriculture and Natural Resources. The event at the Tolland County Agricultural Center (TAC) in Vernon drew more than 170 garden enthusiasts, including 121 registered bidders. To read more, click here.
